Construction Safety Audit plays a role in helping the organisation reduce the risk of ill health and injury in the Construction industry and helps develop a safe work environment. It also helps in the worst situation of a higher ratio of contractor workforce, the temporary nature of activities, and site-specific risks. Construction Safety Audit is related to effectively providing consultation on meeting safety and reviewing any construction project standards as per ‘The Code of Practice on Occupational Safety & Health, Indian Standard. It involves several entities performing a construction audit and several concurrent tasks that are crucial tools for keeping everything on track and under budget.

OBJECTIVE OF THE CONSTRUCTION SAFETY AUDIT
- Construction safety laws and other standards to be confirmed, such as IS14489, BOWC act, NBC act, Etc.
- Review and ensure the effectiveness of the health and safety policy.
- Identify who might be harmed and how from inherent hazards and risks.
- Evaluate the adequacy of risk control measures and recommend additional control measures if required.
- Examine the reliability and effectiveness of emergency arrangements.
- Reduce direct and indirect costs from workplace injuries and ill health.
- Enhance awareness of the workforce regarding health and safety.
