CONFINED SPACE ATTENDANT TRAINING
It is a well known fact that working in a confined space is always dangerous if appropriate control measures are not taken to prevent any unexpected dangerous occurrence inside the confined space. Sometimes people perform activities inside a confined space without having knowledge of the dangers present and encountering them, such as a toxic atmosphere, the presence of flammable and explosive gases, and an inappropriate oxygen level. To prevent such incidents in confined spaces, it is very important to assign a competent confined space attendant.
A confined space attendant is one who warns the entrants of any serious conditions, monitors the entrants, summons a rescue workforce, and guards the confined space against prohibited entry. The responsibilities of confined space attendant are:
- Monitor the atmospheric conditions in the confined space during and before the entry.
